Simon Hagger
PassSmart C.E.O
As the man at the top, Simon overlooks everything we do here at PassSmart. With extensive experience in the business and e-commerce world, his expertise has contributed directly to PassSmart's ever-growing success. He's also fond of colourful chinos and loves a good web startup.
Even Simon's had his embarrassing moments. As a young driver he attempted to fit a fully-inflated four-man dingy in the back of his Ford Fiesta. Shortly after discovering that this is, in fact, not possible, Simon - complete with protruding inflatable boat - had his very first encounter with the police.
Mel Carr
Head of delivery
Mel is our pocket-sized personal organiser, a Project Manager par excellence. She translates techspeak into proper English, makes sure that we're all good-and-busy, maintains exquisite spreadsheets and organisational charts and generally keeps Project PassSmart on track.
As a mum, driving for Mel mainly consists of trips to nursery and hoovering food off the back seat. When she's not doing that, she's fond of wine and Strictly Come Dancing. We've yet to see her cha-cha.
Simon Wood
Head of technology & innovation
As the head of technology and innovation, Simon is the go-to man for all the techie issues too confusing for anyone else. He speaks computer, writes code for fun and - like all the best techies - stores his knowledge in an impressive ponytail.
Simon's an extremely well-behaved driver, claiming to have never been pulled over in his life. His favourite cars are "sensible ones" and he's truly, evangelically passionate about Skodas. Each to their own.
Kevin Hodges
Senior web developer
Kev is the über-techie responsible for the newest incarnation of PassSmart. He's the sort of guy who uses phrases like: "let's deploy directly to staging" in sentences almost every day. Some have theorised that he's actually Simon Wood from the future, but without DNA testing, we can't be sure.
When he's not "pushing to the live box", "checking his codebase" or "slowing to one quarter impulse", Kev's fond of real ale, tabletop gaming and roast dinners.
Marc Sygrove
Senior web developer
As you can perhaps tell from the jaunty spelling of his name, Marc is PassSmart's touch of the continent, but don't let that put you off him. He's a great web developer, constantly looking for ways to make PassSmart better, faster and more user-friendly. Like our Kev, Marc's fond of talking in complicated tech speak, only made more complicated by his jazzy French accent.
When he's not building PassSmart, Marc's enjoys French and Japanese comics, anime, gaming, cheeses and patisserie.
Shelley Roberts
Head of partnerships
Our dear Shelly does so, so much. She keeps the team super-organised, hits the road with the sales girls to meet driving instructors and makes sure that everything is running as smoothly as possible.
Shell's approach to driving is utterly unique to her. She keeps a roadkill scorecard (two foxes, four badgers, one potentially lethal snake and an undisclosed number of bunnies), ALWAYS drives on the left (even when driving in America) and she never, ever stops at Little Chef. She refuses to tell us why.
Jessica Darrington
Partnerships executive
Jess keeps our ADIs happy. She makes sure that everyone gets the most out of the site, researches the driver training market and plans and orchestrates our appearances at ADI meetings and conferences.
Outside of work, Jess' one true love is small, funny-looking dogs who sound like Darth Vader. Only Agatha Christie stories, shopping and her seemingly-superhuman boyfriend can distract her from her beloved pugs.
Jonathan Dudley
Marketing and web content executive
A man of many, carefully crafted words, Jonathan loves space, dinosaurs and t-shirts with fish-based jokes on them. In between writing content for our site and emails, managing our ads, and staring intently at spreadsheets, Jonathan enjoys doing laps of the office on his brand new wheely office chair whilst plotting our next marketing campaign. You can often find him in a meeting, amidst the MacBook Pros, with his trusty notepad and paper.
He once, as a fully grown man, cried at a policeman to avoid getting a ticket. We're not recommending this, but apparently it worked!
Isabelle Guarella
Web content assistant
Isabelle's the newest addition to the PassSmart team. She's our resident blogger; most of the blogs posted on our site and elsewhere were written by her fair hands. She's only been with a for a few months but she's already getting stuck into the dark art of SEO and is a dab hand with Google+ (although she may be the only living soul on there).
Outside of the office, Isabelle enjoys travel and collecting china cats from around the world.
